REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in setting out engineering or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Trimble and other surveying tools, along with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites when required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing accurate site measurements, establishing reference points, and ensuring all construction works are completed to the highest technical and quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use surveying equipment such as Trimble, total stations, GPS, and laser levels to establish accurate points, lines, and levels on-site.
  • Interpret and analyse construction drawings, plans, and specifications for precise setting out.
  • Mark out reference points and guide construction teams to ensure work is carried out accurately.
  • Monitor and inspect work quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify discrepancies or deviations and work closely with the project team to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all setting out activities, measurements, and inspections.
  • Ensure all setting out equipment is maintained, calibrated, and in good working order.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and provide updates to project managers and senior engineers.
  • Always adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
