Job Description What is the opportunity? There are 2 RBC entities in Japan, RBC Tokyo Branch and RBC Capital Markets Japan (CMJ). You will be primary responsible for supporting RBC Tokyo business such as FX and MM trades initiated by Treasury Service Desk, prepare regulatory reports and initiate business initiatives. You also have an opportunity to cover CMJ business whose main product is Foreign Bond. What will you do? Maintain a good depth of knowledge in respect of local FX and Tax Laws and of the bank systems, RIBS, RATS, Prowide, RIMMS and local systems of BOJ Net/Broker on-line confirmation system in respect to the settlement of daily transactions. Ensure that local procedures manuals are kept current, updating them when and where necessary in respect to system changes/enhancements, or alterations to bank/local market practices or laws. Ensure that a confirmation for all FX/MM transactions is received and checked prior to remittance of funds. This will primarily be in the form of a SWIFT message but may also take the form of a letter, fax or in some cases verbal confirmation. Ensure that Nostro accounts are reconciled and send an approval to Toronto Cash Management daily basis. Ensure good client relationships are always maintained, providing prompt and accurate feedback when required. Ensure all client queries are dealt with promptly and accurately and that thy complaints are advised immediately management. Ensure when errors occur in respect of funds due to or from the bank that prompt remedial action is taken to avoid any in-necessary losses being incurred by either party. All cases should be followed up on a regular basis to a satisfactory resolution. Support global system integration. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5-7 of years of experience in Financial industry. Broad knowledge and understanding of the processing and settlement of all products to include but not limited to FX (Spot and Forward), Options, Loans, Futures and CSA. Sound knowledge of bank and local Anti-Money Laundering regulations specifically in relation to third-party payments and those made or received of an unusual nature. Fluent in Japanese. Business level of English is required. Risk control mindset. Have good teamwork skills. Knowledge of RBC Standing Orders and procedures. Nice-to-have Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, VB).
