Grade 7 Science TeacherSummary: Rupert A. Nock Middle School is a grade 6-8 middle school with over 500 students. We are looking for a dynamic, positive person who enjoys working with middle school students, who is comfortable in a fast-paced school environment, and who is interested in collaborating with a team of teachers. The science teacher will provide classroom instruction on earth and space science, life science, physical science and technology/engineering.
In addition, the teacher will provide supervision and instruction of our Advisory block and work collaboratively with our Grade 7 team.Education and Experience: Certification in middle school scienceExperience working with middle school aged students preferredProject Based and Outdoor Education and Field Experiences a BIG PLUS!Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the middle school levelExperience integrating technology into lessons, experience with Google ClassroomExperience with standards-based unit designAbility to collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary instructional units with common assessments and to work in data teamsFlexible, dependable and organizedExcellent interpersonal skills in English and SpanishPassion for teaching Science at the middle school levelAt least 2 years of relevant experience preferredMaster degree preferredCitizenship, residency or work visa require
