Job Description We are seeking a results-oriented Residential Sewer Sales Specialist responsible for converting diagnostic findings (from Drain Technicians and Plumbers) into profitable, executed sewer service and replacement contracts. This role involves meeting directly with homeowners, presenting repair/replacement options, using diagnostic data (like video inspection footage), and securing the sale. The specialist must maintain high customer satisfaction while achieving aggressive sales targets. Key Responsibilities and Duties Consultative Sales & Presentation: Meet with homeowners at their residences to review sewer camera inspection findings, explain the cause of line damage (e.g., root intrusion, breaks, belly), and present appropriate solutions. Solution Proposal & Design: Accurately measure, estimate, and quote options for sewer repair, including traditional excavation/trenching and modern trenchless methods (e.g., pipe bursting, pipe lining). Sales Closing & Contract Management: Execute sales presentations to successfully close business, manage pricing integrity, and ensure all contract terms and financing options are clearly communicated to the homeowner. Technical Liaison: Collaborate closely with Drain Technicians and Production Managers to ensure seamless transition from sale to service execution, guaranteeing the proposed solution is technically feasible and profitable. Customer Education: Clearly communicate the scope of work, project timelines, municipal permit requirements, and warranty details to homeowners in a professional and educational manner. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete all sales documentation, enter sales data, track proposals, and manage customer records using company-provided CRM and technology (e.g., tablet/app). Compliance & Safety Awareness: Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to local plumbing codes and company safety standards, understanding the complexity and risks associated with sewer work. Required Qualifications Sales Experience: Proven track record (minimum 2 years) in in-home, high-ticket consultative sales, preferably within the residential plumbing, HVAC, or construction industries. Communication & Influence: Exceptional verbal communication, negotiation, and closing skills with the ability to build immediate rapport and trust with homeowners. Technical Acumen: Ability to quickly understand and explain technical sewer service issues, including the difference between repair and replacement methods. Mobility: Valid state-issued Driver's License and a clean driving record. Professional Appearance: A professional demeanor and appearance suitable for in-home customer interaction. Preferred Qualifications Sewer Specific Knowledge: Direct experience selling residential sewer line repair, replacement, or trenchless services (pipe lining/bursting). Advanced Diagnostic Skills: Ability to interpret sewer camera footage and locate underground utilities or lines. Plumbing Credentials: Relevant plumbing trade school certification or familiarity with local Kansas City area plumbing codes. CRM Proficiency: Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for sales pipeline management.
