JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and physically capable Sewing Machine Operator to join our team in the production and finishing of industrial webbing and round slings. This role involves operating heavy-duty sewing equipment and handling thick, dense materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial sewing and be comfortable working in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience using heavy-duty or industrial sewing machines (e.g., bar tacking, lockstitch)
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials throughout the day (some webbing can weigh 20kg+)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to read work orders and follow technical instructions
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive tasks in a standing or seated position
• Team player with a proactive attitude

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and finish high-strength webbing slings used in lifting and rigging applications
• Handle and position heavy webbing materials accurately under the machine
• Follow technical specifications and quality standards for stitching patterns, reinforcements, and final finish
• Inspect finished products to ensure consistency, safety, and strength requirements are met
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report malfunctions as needed
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures in a workshop/manufacturing environment
