SKILLS

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for the sewing, overlocking and assembly of specialist filters used in Purex’s clean air extraction and purification systems. This role supports the manufacturing team by ensuring filters are produced to a consistently high standard, in line with company specifications and quality expectations.

KEY DUTIES

We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Follow work instructions and technical drawings with precision.
  • Operate industrial sewing and overlocking machines to assemble air filtration products.
  • Inspect completed filters to ensure consistent stitching and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the sewing work area.
  • Support other production tasks as required, i.e tagging, packing.
  • Report any faults or defects in machinery or materials to a supervisor.
  • Ensure all work meets internal quality control standards and deadlines.
  • Operate the cutting table.
