Our client, Nomura, a global financial services group with an integrated network spanning approximately 30 countries and regions, is seeking a SFTR Regulatory Reporting Associate. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that bridges markets East & West, serving individuals, institutions, corporates and governments. The successful candidate will be part of the EMEA Regulatory Operations team, providing oversight of BAU controls and processes including approvals, breach management, pairing & matching, and interaction with regulatory change.

What you’ll do:

As a SFTR Regulatory Reporting Associate at Nomura, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the EMEA Regulatory Operations team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing oversight of BAU controls and processes, leading continual improvements to both the process and control environment, and ensuring Nomura’s compliance for SFTR reporting. You will also build and maintain ongoing dialogue with key Business and Corporate stakeholders to understand and align on strategy. Additionally, you will proactively manage the breach process from inception to conclusion.

  • Provide oversight and progress updates to the department senior management team and stakeholders
  • Supervise regular meetings and reporting to/with all stakeholders
  • Lead continual improvements to both the process and control environment
  • Ensure Nomura’s compliance for SFTR reporting
  • Build and maintain ongoing dialogue with key Business and Corporate stakeholders
  • Proactively manage breach process from inception to conclusion
