Active Outreach Services is a growing education and mentoring provider, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We pride ourselves on delivering personalised, high-quality support to students who are unable to access traditional schooling.
As our internal systems expand, we are seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to support our operations team with automating workflows, maintaining our SharePoint intranet, and helping to streamline our remote processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in SharePoint administration and Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint workflows, permissions, document management, and forms
  • Experience with automation’s using Power Automate is highly desirable
  • Confident leading system walk through and on-boarding support for new team members
  • Highly organised, self-sufficient, and tech-savvy
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Must have access to own laptop, and wifi
  • 5hrs per week but set to increase
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and tech-savvy SharePoint Administrator to join a purpose-driven organisation. You will be instrumental in supporting and improving our internal systems to enhance collaboration, onboarding, and communication across departments.
This is a remote, self-employed role ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working and has a strong understanding of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 admin tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, update, and improve our existing branded SharePoint intranet
  • Develop and manage document libraries, departmental folders, automation flows, and dashboards
  • Support automation for on-boarding, time sheet tracking, invoice processing, and internal communications
  • Provide technical support to new and existing team members
  • Lead SharePoint on-boarding for new mentors, tutors, and admin staff — giving department walk-throughs and showing them how to use the system confidently
  • Manage SharePoint permissions, ensuring staff have access only to the areas relevant to their role
  • Implement workflows and triggers to reduce manual tasks across Finance and Outreach departments
  • Collaborate with the Director and Admin team to align SharePoint systems with business needs
  • Troubleshoot basic Microsoft 365 issues (e.g., login, MFA setup)
  • Work with external consultants as needed for more advanced system improvements
