Description:

Concept Solutions is seeking a SharePoint System Administrator. This position is part of a team of Information Technology (IT) professionals supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Command, Control, and Communications (C3) office which is responsible for ensuring emergency operations are maintained. If disruptions such as national emergencies, natural disasters, or equipment malfunctions occur, the C3 office is chartered with restoring the communication services expeditiously. The C3 office is responsible for a number of communications projects and programs. The candidate would provide project management expertise across these activities. This is a remote position requiring periodic travel to the FAA HQ located in WDC.

  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge installing and configuring on-premise SharePoint using multi-server farms configured for high availability and disaster recovery to remote sites.
  • Experience/knowledge with SharePoint website redesigns
  • Update websites when required including redesigning and customizing Perform front-end design and development for on-premises SharePoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration and site migration through software upgrades
  • Interact with the project teams and clients to document project requirements and develop project plans
  • Interface with clients to provide team activity status and updates
  • Interface with Team Leads (e.g. Infrastructure and Security/Compliance Teams) to ensure cross-functional requirements are met
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team
  • Develop briefings and requirements documents, as required
  • Ability and willingness to support IT projects, as require

Compensation: $90K to $105
Compensation is not guaranteed and may vary based on qualifications, location, and contractual requirements. Actual salary may fall outside the stated range.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science related degrees
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • 8 years applicable specialized experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with on-premises SharePoint Farm configuration
  • Experience with multi-server, multi-site high availability configuration
  • Implementation of multiple authentication sources, AD FS and Claims configuration front end design
  • Experience working Central Admin, Managed Services in SharePoint 2016 or 2019
  • Administration of SharePoint sites, site collections & Web Applications in SharePoint 2019
  • A working knowledge / understanding with various types of infrastructure and related services such as servers, load balancers, firewalls, AD and AD Domains, Claims, Kerberos, etc.
  • Experience using PowerShell to manage and manipulate the content
  • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet. Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
  • Good Understanding of content Database, upgrades, migration, disaster recovery.

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency using AzureDevOps/Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2017/2018, or Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) for source control, continuous integration, and agile work item management
  • Experience working with JavaScript and JQuery and manage content query web parts
  • Working experience with a Source Control system, preferably Azure DevOps
