In this strategic leadership position, you will drive SHE excellence across our three sites—Zaandam, Klazienaveen and Amersfoort—shaping the culture, systems, and long-term sustainability of our operations. Your key responsibilities will be: Leading and managing all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) initiatives across the Zaandam, Klazienaveen and Amersfoort locations, Supervising and developing SHE specialists at all three sites, ensuring robust training, compliance, and continuous improvement, Developing and implementing cost-effective programs and procedures aimed at increasing safety and environmental awareness and preventing incidents, Acting as the primary contact for all environmentally relevant matters, including authorities, neighboring companies, and local communities, Leading initiatives that ensure both internal and external compliance with policies, regulations, legislation, and NORIT values, Overseeing local quality systems and ensuring integration, maintenance, and auditing of required quality frameworks, Managing a team of 5 direct and indirect reports, Serving as a key member of the Management Team at the Zaandam site, reporting directly to the Facility General Manager, Collaborating with sister companies in the Netherlands and abroad to align practices and share best-in-class SHE expertise. Bachelor’s or University degree in Safety, Health, Environment or a related field, Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar SHE leadership role, Strong background in leading teams and driving organizational change, Demonstrated technical expertise in safety, health, and environmental management, Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities, Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities, Proven interpersonal and team-building skills, Confidence in negotiating with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
