Description
Provide professional SHE advice and support to country / business unit management teams and continuously engage with them in order to secure and strengthen their commitment to SHE. Promote, display, encourage and reinforce positive behaviours, in line with the Rentokil Initial’s values and behaviours. Recognise and promote the commercial benefits of effective SHE management and provide support to enable the business to differentiate the business's services and meet market / customer SHE demands and expectations. Maintain an effective working knowledge of SHE legislation, company requirements, best practice and the country / business unit activities. Secure and manage financial resources for SHE plans. Develop, implement and maintain effective SHE management systems to ensure compliance with SHE legislation, group / divisional policies and requirements and any other requirements to which the business subscribes. Implement and maintain RI approved risk assessment processes to ensure that generic and site-specific risks are identified, assessed and controlled. Develop, implement and maintain a SHE risk register which identifies the significant SHE risks arising from the business’s activities and the controls required to eliminate / reduce these risks to an acceptable level. Develop and implement generic safe working instructions for routine and non-routine work activities based on the findings of the generic risk assessments. Implement an effective process for the management of contractors. Assess SHE requirements for tender submissions / contracts and supply appropriate SHE information. Integrate mergers and acquisitions into the country / business unit SHE management systems and arrangements. Evaluate and manage any change that negatively impacts upon the country / business unit’s ability to manage SHE effectively and ensure that SHE risks arising from these changes remain at an acceptable level. Develop and deliver SHE learning programmes, as appropriate, to ensure that employees have the required knowledge, skills and training to competently perform their work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Establish and maintain effective SHE communication and consultation processes. Communicate and consult effectively with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders. Promote and recognise SHE achievements via regular SHE communications, reports, conference calls and meetings. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a SHE Practitioner. Preferred with at least 2 years’ experience in a SHE related managerial / leadership role. Degree / Diploma in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety or its equivalent. WSH-related qualifications by local Authority (MOM) in Singapore Proficient in English and local language. Able to facilitate SHE review meeting with management Ability to present and train. Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 45001 and ISO14001.
