SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety.
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • IOSH Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) or working towards it
  • Lead Auditor Certification in:
    -> ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)

-> ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)

  • Additional certifications (e.g., IEMA, Fire Safety, First Aid, COSHH) are advantageous.
  • 7–10 years of progressive SHE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven track record in multi-site SHE management
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in both the UK and Ireland
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting, wastewater operations, and energy management systems
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate global SHE goals into local action plans
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities (e.g., KPI tracking, root cause analysis)
  • Proficiency in SHE management systems (e.g., Enablon, EcoOnline)
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Ability to lead audits and manage external certification processes
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
