EXTRAORDINARY PROJECTS NEED EXCEPTIONAL TALENT

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our Mechanical construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans for Plumbing Trade. You will work closely with team leader, Project Managers, and site personnel to ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sheet Metal Drafter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise, detailed fabrication and installation drawings for sheet metal components used in building construction projects, including HVAC ductwork, architectural metal panels, and other custom metal assemblies. The drafter will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure that designs meet project specifications, codes, and fabrication standards.

DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation layouts for sheet metal systems based on architectural and engineering plans.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or equivalent) to create and revise drawings.
• Interpret construction documents, specifications, and field notes to ensure accurate designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve design discrepancies.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, industry standards, and company practices.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for each project.
• Perform field measurements and site visits as necessary to support accurate drafting.
• Assist in creating material take-offs and cut lists for fabrication and procurement.
• Work with project management and shop personnel to resolve fabrication and installation issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal drafting within the building construction industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software; experience with Revit, CAMduct, or CADmep is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, architectural metalwork, and construction methods.
• Familiarity with SMACNA standards and local building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred Skills (Optional):
• Experience in 3D modeling or BIM coordination.
• Prior work with metal fabrication shops.
• Understanding of LEED and sustainable design principles.
