SHEETMETAL FABRICATOR – FULL-TIME OR FLEXIBLE HOURS

Premier Catering Equipment is a small, family-owned business specialising in high-quality stainless steel fabrication for the hospitality industry. We are currently seeking a qualified Sheetmetal Fabricator to join our close-knit team. We are also open to applications from 3rd or 4th year apprentices who are eager to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (Sheetmetal) or equivalent experience
  • Manual driver’s licence
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist across various tasks
  • Strong work ethic and genuine interest in the trade

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift licence
  • Experience with CAD software

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Workshop Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Work Environment: Air-conditioned workshop – On-site installation work
  • Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours/week) with a 3-month trial period
  • Flexible Options: Casual or school hours available upon request
  • Additional Work: Occasional overtime and remote site work may be required

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

  • Project management tasks including:
  • Liaising with builders and project owners
  • Preparing 2D drawings for approval
  • Completing SWMS and site inductions
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS standards
  • Conducting site measures and visits
  • Product installation
  • Coordinating with the workshop manager to ensure successful project delivery
  • Assisting showroom staff with:
  • Unpacking and assembling equipment
  • Delivering items as needed
