Description
Description Performs various entry level fabrication processes and assembly of parts or pieces utilizing basic fabrication equipment. Such as roll forming, spot welding, riveting and staking equipment. Is required read and interpret existing blueprints. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible to ensure that the work area is kept clean, organized, and safe. • Performs mathematical and analytic skills to read and interpret blueprints. • Assist in other areas of fabrication • Routinely reviews equipment to ensure preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule. • Use and read measuring instruments (i.e. Calipers, measuring tape, etc.) • Performs safety and housekeeping activities. Requirements Additional Information/Details: Requires the ability to work well with others in a team environment. Must be dependable, accurate, customer oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. Requires an ability to perform multiple tasks. Must be mechanically minded and willing to be cross-trained in a variety of Fabrication functions. Consistently puts forth exceptional effort, works efficiently, and is able to keep up with assigned work load. Ability to motivate self to achieve the company’s goals on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Willing to work in areas outside of direct responsibility when needed. Ability to work any shift. Requires strong communication skills. Education and Experience: Education: HS Diploma, equivalent certification or work experience. Experience: Entry-level, prefer one year experience operating metal fabrication equipment or welding. Mig and/or Tig welding strongly preferred. Job Conditions: Must be able to lift 50 Pounds Must be able to bend and reach items at ground level and above the head Must be able to work on feet, standing and walking throughout the factory for up to 10 hours per day Must be able to wear PPE; to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, face shields The physical demands described here and above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
