POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsman with deep knowledge of custom metal shaping, fabrication techniques, and automotive bodywork. You’ll work on high-end custom builds, restorations, and one-off projects, shaping raw metal into timeless automotive art.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years experience in automotive sheet metal fabrication or restoration
  • Strong knowledge of classic car construction and custom bodywork
  • Proficiency in welding (TIG/MIG) and metal finishing techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, or mock-ups
  • Keen eye for detail and craftsmanship
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or with a team
  • Passion for classic cars and custom builds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with hot rods, muscle cars, or concours-level restorations
  • Fabrication or metal shaping certifications
  • Familiarity with chassis and suspension modifications
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate custom body panels and components from sheet metal (steel, aluminum, etc.)
  • Perform metal shaping using hand tools, power tools, and equipment (e.g., English wheel, planishing hammer, bead roller, shrinker/stretcher)
  • Weld and assemble fabricated components with MIG/TIG welding techniques
  • Fit and install panels to vehicle bodies with precision
  • Modify or repair OEM and aftermarket panels as needed
  • Collaborate with builders, painters, and engineers to bring custom visions to life
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment
