Description
System Service & Engineering is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team in Lynn Haven, FL. In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, install, alter, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HVAC systems, sheet metal fabrication, and the ability to work with precision and attention to detail. Typical responsibilities: Fabrication: Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, and fittings according to blueprints, sketches, and specifications. Use hand and power tools (e.g., shears, hammers, drills, and welding machines) to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts. Perform metalworking processes, including bending, cutting, and welding. Assembly & Installation: Assemble and install ductwork, vents, and other sheet metal parts for HVAC systems in commercial and residential buildings. Ensure accurate alignment, fitting, and assembly of sheet metal pieces, ensuring a secure and durable installation. Install insulation and sealing on ducts to ensure efficiency and prevent air leaks. Alteration & Repairs: Alter existing sheet metal products and HVAC components to meet job specifications and changes. Repair damaged or malfunctioning sheet metal products or HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
