Description

The Comfort Group is a leading HVAC Mechanical, Plumbing and Sheetmetal Contractor serving the greater Nashville area for the past 50 years. We are currently seeking a full time Sheetmetal Shop Supervisor to work in our Nashville office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some college and five to seven years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer Minimum (2) years in production-based manufacturing setting preferably in the HVAC Sheetmetal industry.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong math abilities and reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Spectrum Accounting Software experience is a plus.
  • Ability of lift 25lbs. Occasional lifting of 50-75lbs.
  • Mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate Fabrication division personnel
  • Manage fabrication production schedule to ensure commitments are met by communication with project managers and field supervisors
  • Use CAM software to input and design ductwork fittings for production
  • Monitor production levels and address as needed to ensure productivity metrics are being met through coaching and training
  • Manage communications with internal and external customers
  • Compile weekly billings and submit to accounting for processing
  • Manage material and parts inventory
  • Oversee machinery maintenance and keep preventive maintenance work logs and up to date
  • Oversee shop safety by continued training & monitoring as well as conduct weekly safety meetings
  • Set up and coordinate deliveries to job sites
  • Monitor material cost and adjust billing rates as necessary
  • Compile estimates and provide up to date billing rates
  • Other Duties as Assigned
