Morson are currently recruiting Sheet Metal Workers on behalf of our prestigious client, to join their team in Glasgow.?
Location: Govan and Scotstoun?
Shifts: Shifts may apply. These include Dayshift, Nightshift and Weekend working.?
Rates:
Standard - £20.10 PAYE + £8 per hour for non local candidates (+ holiday pay)
Nights/Weekends - £26.73 PAYE + £8 per hour for non local (+holiday pay)
Please note: Umbrella and overtime rates also available. Non local applies to candidates living 39+ miles from site.
Requirements: Candidates must be time served and able to provide Apprenticeship papers on application?
What?you’ll?be doing:?
Manufacturing and installing ventilation and furniture?
Working to engineering standards, striving for quality first time?
Using a range of hand tools?
Hand skills?required?for manufacturing and installation purposes?
Understanding of manufacturing and installation drawing?
Your skills and experiences:?
Time Served (able to provide Apprenticeship Papers)?
Understanding of HVAC Installation & Manufacture.?
Understanding of manufacturing processes,?instructions?and procedures.?
Understanding of SHE Risks Assessments, PUWER and COSHH.?
Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height?
Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment, marine experience?advantageous?
Candidates must pass a trade test on day 1 of the contract. This trade test consists of:
Fault finding HVAC & Furniture??
Square round development??
Develop a piece of Duct Ventilation- this will be drawn on paper and a template will be put over it to see if it has been drawn correctly.?
Successful candidates will be subject to Security and Export Control restrictions. Candidates will?be required?to gain BPSS security clearance prior to a start date.?
