Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate various tools and equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, and welding machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal materials for cutting and shaping
- Weld or join metal components using various welding techniques
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Experience
- Previous experience in metalworking or a related field is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with operating tools and equipment used in metal fabrication
- Ability to use a forklift or willingness to learn
