POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the DCC Event Supervisor the Shell Theatre Bartender is responsible for providing liquor, pop and coffee service during events.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have a Pro-Serve (AGLC) certificate along with a valid Standard First Aid certificate with CPRC/AED. Experience in a private club, bar, or lounge serving liquor with a strong knowledge of beers, wines and liquors is essential. Cash handling and basic mental math skills along with experience utilizing a Point of Sale system is required.
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
Hours of Work: Early evenings, weekdays and weekends. The number of hours of work per week may vary and cannot be forecasted.

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to:

  • Mixes, serves and sells beverages per AGLC regulations.
  • Cash handling in a busy environment while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • With accuracy performs a liquor inventory count before and after each event.
  • Cleans, restocks and secures the concession at the conclusion of an event.
  • Accurately and independently reconciles cash floats and cash proceeds.
  • Enforces AGLC licensing compliance specific to the event space.
  • Willingness to provide support as Front of House Program Assistant as needed.
