Description Position Profile: Responsible for the care and well being of clients who enter the shelter program and oversee the Shelter Attendants on their shift. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Possess at least six months of relevant experience. Successful completion of the orientation period the Shelter Attendant position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Oversee the shelter functions throughout the shift Understand the organizational structure of Milestone Recovery Follow and fully understand all policies and procedures Help cover call-outs when necessary Work with Shelter management to help ensure all shelter standards are met Make appropriate referrals to other agencies and persons, including vocational, educational, social, occupational and recreational Develop an appropriate plan of care with clients Responsible for various levels of care for the client during each shift; meals, showering, laundry Complete and maintain necessary records and reports in an accurate and confidential practice Arrange transportation to other community providers when necessary Respect patient confidentiality at all times Attend required training programs and scheduled staff meetings Accept and perform other related duties as assigned Compensation: Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience. We offer an additional shift differential for weekends ($2.50). Benefits: This is a full-time, benefits eligible position Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrues 4 weeks PTO per year + 8 paid floating holidays Schedule: 2:45 p.m. - 10:45 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday Requirements Physical demands and work environment: Freedom of movement on a regular basis. Operating basic office equipment in a normal office environment. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. May spend extended periods operating a desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; physical activity requires walking, bending, standing and lifting.
