OVERVIEW:

Safe Harbour Society is seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-driven Shelter Supports Coordinator to oversee the collection, organization, and distribution of clothing and hygiene donations for our shelter Guests. This role supports multiple program areas including Detox, Outreach, Diversion, and Coordinated Access. A key focus of this role is also to build and lead our volunteer program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in non-profit, social services, or retail management.
· Strong leadership and volunteer coordination skills.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
· Tech proficient (Excel, Word, Email).
· Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and perform regular physical tasks.
Recent related experience in the area of substance abuse and mental health. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Successful candidates will be required to provide a current Criminal Vulnerable Sector Police check.

Responsibilities

· Manage donation intake, organization, inventory, and distribution through our on-site Boutique.
· Coordinate clothing needs across internal programs and with community partners.
· Ensure a welcoming, respectful environment for Guests accessing clothing supports.
· Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers; maintain scheduling and performance oversight.
· Attend community meetings and support donation-related marketing strategies.
· Maintain accurate records, inventory logs, and reports.
