THE OPPORTUNITY Are you an experienced shepherd, or you have some experience working outdoors looking to start your career in farming - this could be your opportunity. As a shepherd, you’ll work closely with the senior shepherd and farm manager, who will support your growth and development. THE FARM Close to Manapouri an,d Te Anau, Freestone Farm is a 718 total ha (595 ha effective) property, with 5000 su comprising sheep, beef and deer. Freestone’s focus is a beef finishing system, alongside a terminal mated ewe flock. It also has a wapiti deer terminal sire breeding programme. The location offers easy access to schooling options and a wide range of recreational activities, making it the perfect place for families.
