HSEQ Advisor – Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Salary: Competitive (negotiable based on experience)

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to oversee the wellbeing of our team and ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated. This role is pivotal in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring our operations are compliant, safe, and efficient.
About the Role The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a similar position, with a thorough understanding of HSEQ principles and their practical application across a busy construction environment. You’ll work closely with colleagues, contractors, and site managers to maintain and continuously improve our health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a positive HSEQ culture, supporting the HSEQ Lead to review, refine, and implement company procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on best practice, ensuring all employees take ownership of HSEQ compliance.
  • Conduct hazard identification for new contracts and collaborate with project teams to establish robust safety measures.
  • Assist in the creation of HSEQ management plans and risk assessments, ensuring compliance through weekly site inspections.
  • Keep accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, while coordinating employee training on HSEQ matters.
  • Prepare quarterly HSEQ performance reports and maintain strong relationships with relevant authorities and industry bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid CSCS card (essential).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
  • IOSH membership (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Understanding of civil works and construction processes (desirable).
