We are looking to hire an experienced and proactive SHEQ Manager in Greater, Dublin.
Responsibilities
Ensure all operational activities comply with relevant legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001).
Conduct and oversee risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
Lead and coordinate incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and business integration.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a proactive and positive safety culture.
Work with management to define clear SHEQ goals and improvement plans.
Ensure robust audit, inspection, and compliance verification processes are in place.
Monitor, analyse, and report on SHEQ performance, using data to inform decision-making.
Provide expert advice and support on SHEQ matters across the organisation.
Ensure effective two-way communication of key SHEQ actions and expectations.
Support change management, including adapting to new legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Be an ambassador for SHEQ leadership, influencing best practices at all levels.
Travel to multiple sites as required to oversee SHEQ implementation and support teams.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years of managerial experience in SHEQ, Safety & Compliance within an industrial environment.
Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
High level of IT proficiency, including data systems and reporting tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
Excellent report writing and procedure development skills.
Ability to prioritise workload, adapt to changing situations, and work under pressure.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative and adaptable approach to working across different teams.
Full driving license and willingness to travel to multiple sites as required.
