Regular training & professional development opportunities You will be working for an award-winning, growing National Property Developer with offices in Canary Wharf and Braintree. They are seeking a talented SHEQ Officer to join their expanding company. Their development team operate in two markets, National Property Development & Civils. They purchase old commercial properties and refurbish them into residential properties through Permitted Development. Their Civils teams provide civil engineering solutions for the Construction & Telecoms industries. They are successful, financially stable and growing consistently. Due to growth, you will be their first SHEQ Officer and you will be responsible for taking full control of everything ISO across the business. SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) are four essential pillars that ensure businesses operate responsibly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. Each pillar plays a vital role in protecting people, the planet, and organisational success. You will be working for a group of companies under one roof, one of the companies has ISO certification and you will be responsible for all documentation and following guidelines to retain and support this certification. Another one of the companies does not yet have ISO certification and you will play a critical role in securing this accreditation. This will involve implementing new processes, collating training, and development records, collating various paperwork, organising efficient storage and access to records. This will involve lots of internal communication, strong organisation skills, and a drive to deliver the required tasks to secure the ISO certification. This is a full-time, office-based position, once you complete your six-month probation period there will be a potential opportunity to work hybrid. The working hours can be flexible, you can choose to work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, or 8.30 am to 4.30 pm , or 9 am to 5 pm. To be considered for the SHEQ Officer opportunity you will need…
Your own transport and they are based outside of central Braintree. To live within a reasonable distance of Braintree. To have working experience and understanding of SHEQ/ISO. To be organised, and confident to multi-task. To be a strong communicator. Attention to detail. Experience working in property, new builds or construction will be highly beneficial. However, this is not essential.
