We are recruiting for CASUAL Banquet Supervisor to join our team. We offer competitive wage rates and generous gratuity shares.
Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and all holidays - daytime and evening shifts - as business levels dictate.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Supervises and assists in the set-up of banquet space to ensure timely and accurate room set-ups and ensures service staff is prepared and organized, and delivers high standards of service. Maintains the same for the service of in-room dining and other porter duties including guest bedroom deliveries.
  • Assists in conducting training of banquet staff in proper set-up, serving and cleaning procedures as well as training for room service deliveries and other guest bedroom deliveries.
  • Holds pre –function meetings with banquet staff to review the specific needs of each group including service procedures, set-up, menus, order of service, and any special requests.
  • Reviews event orders with clients; responds quickly to last minute changes; answers questions to customer’s satisfaction; reviews guest check with client after function and obtains signature.
  • May assist in scheduling for staff, adhering to labor/company/brand standards and assigning duties for functions.
  • Coordinates the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests; assists in plating of meals.
  • Ensures all set up and closing duties are completed as assigned; performs set up and closing duties as needed.
  • Shift work is involved, to meet the demands of our Clients. Days / Evenings/ Weekends / various shifts
    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:Education/ Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of food and beverage and/ or hospitality related work experience required. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
    Certification and/or License Requirement: Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local or provincial government agency. Food Service certification as required by franchise.
