We are a busy Pub/Restaurant known for great food, a lively atmosphere, and excellent service. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations, maintain high food quality standards, and help create a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared consistently and to quality standards

Working on the line/ covering shifts if needed or helping out during busy times

  • Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and accountability
  • Create and update menus in collaboration with ownership/chef, balancing creativity and cost efficiency
  • Order inventory, monitor stock levels, and minimize food waste
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Manage scheduling, labor costs, and kitchen budgets
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain equipment in working order
  • Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Head Cook (restaurant/pub experience required)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of food costing, ordering, and inventory control
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
