WORKING HOURS
Normal hours of work are 40/42 hours per week, depending on shift pattern required in order to meet the needs of the business. The postholder is required to work such hours as are necessary in order to satisfactorily perform the role. This role will be required to work shifts as required by the Company.
The current shift pattern is 24/7, 12-Hour Shifts, PANAMA Shift Pattern, Average 42 hours per week.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide support to the Laboratory Team Lead in processing samples for Elemental composition analysis.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a Laboratory Technician you will work as part of a small team to provide accurate and timely chemical analysis to support the on-site production team for the manufacture of Nickel and Cobalt based superalloys. You must be able to comply with company policies and procedures ensuring health and safety standards are always upheld.
You will prepare samples using various mechanical abrasive methods. You will be expected to analyse samples by all the following analytical methods:
You will use the data from the analysis to either support production through in process additions to the furnace as part of the melting process, or to complete release certification.
