Starting Hourly Wage: $36.75 Key Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with production department employees to understand their issues related to the manufacturing equipment. Collaborate with manager and electrical team in completing all work activities for preventive maintenance. Resolve complex issues with manufacturing equipment to include servo drives, Siemens, and Allen Bradley PLC’s, and read and understand electrical drawings. Call ins after normal hours to assist shift maintenance resolve complex issues if assistance is needed. Proficiently diagnose complex machine and process issues with the equipment, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and controls. Understand complete set up of critical machine settings. Analyze process issues and understand how to resolve by repairing or adjusting to factory OEM specifications. Repair the issue in a timely manner with reasonable cost. Properly charge parts to the correct work order and cost center. Adhere to Swiss Krono policy and procedures regarding safe work permits, electrical work, and other procedures regarding personnel safety. Communicate to Engineering Controls Manager and Electrical Team daily any unresolved plant issues, assignment delays or hinderances. Observe the operation of all equipment for issues that might cause breakdown or loss of efficiency. Professional Experience: ·Minimum three years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance. ·Minimum one year experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix 5000PLC’s is preferred. Minimum three years’ experience with industrial electrical (Motors and Controls). Education and specialized skills profile: Minimum two-year technical degree, or High School or GED and meet the minimum requirements related to manufacturing controls. Basic Computer skills to be able to use programs for work order and parts management. Environment and Behavioral profile: Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed eighty-seven decibels. Candidate must be able to complete task under extreme hot climate temperatures internally on the shopfloor, which can exceed 110 degrees F. The Controls Shift Technician will be subjected to all environmental elements such as exposure to high/low temperatures, sun/rain, confined spaces etc. The Controls Shift Technician must be able to complete daily tasks under little to no supervision, should have the ability to multitask in a challenging environment, making decisions quickly with clear consistent communication Linguistic Profile: The Maintenance Department embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work. Mobility and Physical Requirement profile: Work location is Barnwell. This job operates in a manufacturing environment. Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to perform climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving lift truck duties at variable frequency. There is occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to approximately 50 lbs. The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performance the job duties of this job, the employee regularly operator HMI, communicate by talking on radio, and walk constantly throughout 12-hour shift. This is a full-time position, which works 12 hour rotating shifts. Call ins required, as necessary. Travel required for training.
