Description

COME AND BE PART OF THE FUTURE OF ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS WITHIN BIFFA.

Location: Edmonton
Salary: £52,200 per annum
(London weighting allowance on top of salary).
Hours of work: 4 days on 4 days off, 2 days 2 nights, 12 hr shifts.

OUR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS.

  • Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Qualified in 16th, 17th or 18th Edition Writing Regulations (BS7671)
  • We would could consider any candidates with the following job titles: Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrical Technician, Maintenance Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineer Technician, and Electrical Systems Technician. Industry-specific roles cover Plant Electrical Technician, Waste Management Electrical Technician, Heavy Machinery Electrical Technician, Automation Electrical Technician, and Industrial Maintenance Electrician. Specialized positions feature Instrumentation Technician, Control Systems Technician, Electrical Maintenance Specialist, Field Service Electrical Technician, and Electrical Testing Technician. Senior and supervisory roles consist of Senior Electrical Technician, Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Electrical Technician, Electrical Foreman, and Electrical Team Leader.
Responsibilities

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROLE

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM’s, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a daily basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnosis running faults and ensuring effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scale.
  • Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
  • Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
  • To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
  • Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
