Job Description About the role We’re on the lookout for a Shift Engineer to handle all the maintenance issues around our hotel, making sure our guests stay safe and comfortable. What you'll do... Help with the daily maintenance of the hotel, hitting the right notes for any faults or repairs. Plumbing – unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps etc. Minor electrical gigs – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets and switches etc. Rock the Health and Safety tasks, like weekly fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling. Maintenance on HVAC systems like filter cleaning/replacing. Ensure the hotel is kept to the highest maintenance standards. Respond quickly to all maintenance requests and concerns from guests and team members following the hotel reporting procedure. Qualifications What we're looking for... Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here. You know your way around Health and Safety in the workplace. City & Guilds level 2 in any trade is desired but not essential. Plumbing and HVC experience desirable. You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience Your humble and open to ideas. We leave our egos at the door and help get it done. You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once. You will be required to work flexible shift patterns which will include weekdays and weekends to support the team, as and when required.
