Description The Shift Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of various systems within the hotel. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guest and staff. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's systems and providing a high-quality guest experience. Key Responsibilities: -Routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, such as heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical wiring. -Troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring the systems operate efficiently. -Working closely with other members of the engineering team and hotel management to resolve problems quickly. -Maintaining a safe and clean and work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. -Performing day-to-day maintenance and responding to engineering calls from guests or other departments. -Testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on all types of equipment. -Completing maintenance work orders from all departments and performing preventative maintenance within hotel rooms and public areas. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: -Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field -Knowledge of trade skills, including plumbing and basic electrical work -Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently -Strong communication and customer service skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards -Flexibility to handle various tasks and respond to urgent requests -Must be able to work am, pm and swing shift
