Responsibilities

As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities to the highest standards. Your duties will include:

  • Implementing and managing preventative maintenance of all equipment and updating maintenance logs
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated systems throughout the building
  • Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests in rooms and public areas
  • Being familiar with and responding to emergency procedures such as fires and power failures
  • Cleaning engineering stations, grease traps, and plumbing stoppages, while maintaining an organized department
  • Installing or relocating equipment as needed
  • Supporting energy conservation programs within the hotel
  • Installing electrical and mechanical systems for renovations and exhibits, and maintaining those setups
