Description

ABOUT BOB W

I’m Bob W, your friend in town. I take the guesswork out of travel, blending the best of both worlds: hotel-grade consistency, local character, and a few surprises only locals would know. Every apartment is fully carbon offset and set up in Europe’s most interesting neighbourhoods, so you feel at home—just with better coffee and smarter tech. I’m building a new kind of stay: five-star comfort, local flair, and always a step ahead on sustainability. All you have to do is show up. I’ll handle the rest.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Are you a skilled and hands-on maintenance professional with a passion for solving technical challenges? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you at Bob W!
At Bob W, we’re dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences through seamless operations. As a Shift Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our properties to the highest standards. Your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality will help ensure smooth operations and uphold our reputation for excellence.
This is a flexibly scheduled 7-day cover role with two days off per week. Standard hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, though shifts may rotate based on business needs. The role is primarily hands-on, with most time spent on-site, while some administrative work is also required and must be appropriately managed.
Please note that visa sponsorship or relocation support is not offered for this role.
So, are you ready to join the journey?

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Ensure the health and safety of the property by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of all maintenance issues using our maintenance system and ensure all tasks are completed promptly and effectively.
  • Carry out installations and project work within the properties as needed.
  • Take ownership of keeping all working areas safe and tidy, ensuring guest areas are clean and organised after task completion.
  • Collaborate within a small team of two engineers, contributing to a supportive and efficient work environment.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Team with daily tasks and duties to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work towards improving quality control and service standards across the buildings.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Maintenance Supervisor to discuss issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Utilise your strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
