JOB OVERVIEW

To perform the duties as a Lead Hand/Assistant Chief under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications:

• Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer license certified by Ontario Province
• Experience in maintenance and operation of building HVAC systems, including circulating pumps and control systems
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of steam boilers and related power plant auxiliary equipment
• Experience with power plant operations, water chemical treatment, Service distribution systems, DDC and BMC control system

• Lead and coordinate the work of five(5) maintenance staff
• Assist in trouble shooting building HVAC problems
• Coordinate the shutdown of building systems to enable to repair or maintenance work
• Identify required repair work and coordinate repair work as directed by the chief engineer
• Track HVAC parts and supplies inventory and report to chief engineer on the status of inventory
• Prepare purchase requisitions for authorization as requested by chief engineer.
• Perform zone maintenance when needed.
