The Lead/Key Holder may be the first point of brand contact in our bakery and serves an essential role to engage and bring joy to our guests, create a memorable experience and leave a positive, lasting impression. The Lead/Key Holder embodies NbC core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to guest satisfaction as well as excellence and efficiency in the workplace. Accountabilities/Duties: · When fulfilling the role of the Guest Service Representative, promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs and follows NbC SWEET Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience. · Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions and complementary retail merchandise. · Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles and cards, to complete unique celebration. · Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing point-of-sale system and invites guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected. · Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows and other surfaces. · Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation. · Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed. · Assembles cake and balloon orders according to guest specifications for the given celebration and follows NbC cake decorating and presentation standards with precision. · Prioritizes workload according to schedule to ensure all orders are complete at the appropriate pick-up or delivery time, and crafts all orders for walk-in guests. · Prepares cake decorations, boxes, bows, and other packaging materials in advance to ensure requisite supplies are readily available for cake order demands. · Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes. · Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly. · Ensures an adequate supply of frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and helps maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels. · Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and helps maintain frosting and refrigeration logs. Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for individual guests and corporate accounts as well as large, complex orders and deliveries. · Manages minor issues that arise without the presence of the manager, area manager or operator/owner (including issues with guests, employees {non-human resources related} and/or facility). · Extensive NbC bakery holiday experience including an understanding of holiday processes and procedures. Ability to move between various positions during holiday operations. · Ability to supervise and ensure all opening and closing tasks are completed (including securing the bakery through alarm activation and locking all doors). Co-facilitates the opening and closing of the bakery, including cash-drawer opening and/or closing, balancing and bank deposits. · Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. · Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Work Availability: Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
