You’ll lead from the floor, coach teammates in real time, and partner closely with the Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly.If you care about hospitality, teamwork, and doing things well and you like being in the middle of the action, you’ll love this role. WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead Great Shifts  * Open and close the shop with confidence * Delegate tasks, assign breaks, and keep service flowing smoothly * Stay calm during rushes and help the team succeed. Deliver Excellent Hospitality * Model kind, generous hospitality every shift * Make sure every customer feels seen and welcomed * Handle customer concerns with warmth and professionalism Support & Develop the Team * Coach teammates in real time using clear, supportive feedback * Share priorities, updates, and wins with the next lead or captain * Help maintain a positive, collaborative team culture Keep the Shop Running Smoothly * Follow cash-handling, security, and key-holding procedures * Operate Square POS, including special transactions * Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and organization standards WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR * A reliable, people-first leader who enjoys supporting others * Experience leading or supporting a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment (prior shift lead or supervisory experience a plus) * Strong communication skills and a calm presence under pressure * Availability for late nights, weekends, and peak summer months COMPENSATION & BENEFITS * $28.00/hr, with room to grow * Pay growth: A 1%–2% merit raise for every 1,800 hours worked, plus an annual cost-of-living adjustment based on the Seattle CPI * Time off: Paid Sick & Safe Time and PTO after 6 months * Health: Zero-premium medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees * Holidays: Four time-and-a-half holidays per year * Extras: ORCA transit pass, $50 non-slip shoe stipend, Employee Assistance Program(EAP), and 401(k) with employer match * Family support: Childcare subsidies * And yes - all the ice cream scoops you can eat
