Kreamer Feed is looking for a highly motivated individual with past supervisory experience to lead their bagging crew (5-6 employees total). The typical work week would be Monday to Wednesday 5:00am to 5:30pm (plus every other Thursday). The Shift Lead will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities on the bagging line to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
· Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks, conveyor equipment, etc.
· Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions and to ensure scale weights are checked and recorded.
· Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
· Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
· Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
· Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
· Works with the Feed Baggers to ensure work orders are completed.
· Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
· Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
· Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
· Keep records of employees’ attendance, production volumes, and downtime.
· Must be willing to be forklift certified.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
