WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager/Supervisor or Shift Leader who comes from a 3PL/warehousing background, ideally with prior working knowledge of operating an FMCG/e-commerce operation. You will need to be a robust people manager with a passion for motivating and developing your team, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to understand, follow and champion company procedures.
YOUR ROLE
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager to join our operation based in East Midlands Gateway, Derby, to manage the pick, pack, dispatch and shipping operation across a time critical fast track operation ensuring tight SLAs are adhered to whilst maintaining operational excellence.
This role requires commitment to Wednesday – Saturday shift pattern, 2:15 PM to 00:00 AM.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will manage daily interaction with the Stock & Planning teams to understand workflow and operational volumes across your shift, ensuring your teams daily activity is coordinated to achieve operational targets, whilst identifying areas for quality, cost and service improvements across the site.
You will be responsible for the collation of all necessary site operational reports and data and the submission of these in line with required timescales, along with maintaining labour resource availability for spikes in volume and seasonality changes. You will also work co-operatively with others, creating and maintaining a team spirit across the site to achieve a common goal and take full responsibility for Health & Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ).
