ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our dynamic food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our company’s success and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Management:
• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal efficiency
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain production schedules and meet customer demands
• Implement and maintain food safety and quality control standards
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Team Leadership:
• Manage, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a positive work environment
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Identify training needs and implement appropriate development programs
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the production floor
• KPI and Target Management:
• Set, monitor, and achieve production targets and KPIs
• Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance against goals
• Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to align production goals with overall business objectives
• Present performance updates to senior management and stakeholders
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and improve product quality standards
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively
• Resource Management:
• Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies while minimizing waste
• Develop and maintain production budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, goals, and challenges
• Liaise with other functional areas such as maintenance, quality, and logistics to ensure seamless operations
