Join our team as a Shift Operations Manager and lead efficient, safe and productive shift operations in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking an experienced operations leader to manage day-to-day shift activities, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement. The role demands strong people management, excellent communication, and a focus on health & safety and performance metrics. Key responsibilities - shift operations management Plan, coordinate and oversee all aspects of assigned shifts to meet production, quality and safety targets. Lead, coach and develop shift team members to maintain high levels of engagement and performance. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including throughput, downtime, quality and labour utilisation. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflow, reduce waste and increase operational efficiency. Manage shift handovers, escalating operational issues and ensuring clear communication between teams and departments. Coordinate maintenance, scheduling and resource allocation to minimise disruption and maximise productivity. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments and incident investigations; implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Skills and experience - operations leadership and people management Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or similar operations environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop frontline teams across shifts. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders. Flexible approach to working hours, including nights, weekends and rota arrangements.
