OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Packing & Dispatch Manager to oversee and manage the Packaging and Despatch department efficiently, ensuring that Health, Safety and Quality procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage as an active member of the management team to ensure the future success of the site.
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour
  • Supervision of all staff under direct control
  • Ensure schedules and deadlines are adhered to
  • Communicate and implement change
  • Responsible for the tracking and delivery of goods from despatch.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stocktakes and audits to verify results and investigate discrepancies
  • Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety of all employees is protected by delivering a site health & safety plan that ensures continuous improvement and meets Country Style Foods procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Be an active participant in and champion of Continuous Improvement establishing and improving daily rituals.
  • To support the growth of engagement at work through effective employee appraisals and development plans throughout the operations teams.
  • To actively support communication through the business at all levels.
  • Assist with the training and development of others where appropriate.
  • Promote and participate in Food Safety Culture and GMP
  • Plan and coordinate labour as required
  • Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures and safe working practices
  • Continuously monitor performance and activities of the warehouse using KPI’s with a primary focus on cost control
  • Involvement in the risk assessment process to reduce the risk to H&S in your area
  • Ensure that all personnel pursue safe working practices
  • Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved
