Description

A K Industries is a dynamic and quality-driven manufacturing company, proudly supplying precision components to top-tier clients across various industries. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an additional Shift Quality Controller to join our dedicated team.
As a Shift Quality Controller, you will be the first line of defence in ensuring that our products meet exacting customer and process specifications. From inspecting first-offs and auditing production to handling non-conformities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll be hands-on and at the heart of quality assurance on the shop floor.
Working Pattern:
3 rotating shifts (9:45pm - 6:00am / 2:00pm - 10pm / 5:45am - 2:00pm ) - 38.75 hours per week with 30 minute unpaid break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and approve first-off components in line with procedures (QSP 8.2.103)
  • Conduct regular audits—visual, dimensional, and mating part checks
  • Monitor production scrap and escalate issues as needed
  • Perform 100% product inspections when defects arise
  • Quarantine and document non-conforming products using WinMan ERP
  • Develop and update Quality Control Plans and PWIs
  • Support training for operators and communicate quality expectations
  • Ensure 5S standards in the quality area and promote continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing (plastics preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset
  • Confident communicator and team player
  • Competent with MS Office and MRP/ERP systems
  • Skilled in the use of measuring tools (e.g., digital calipers, gauges)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and quality check sheets
