About the roleThe overall purpose of the role is to manage a shift consisting of up to 20 Production Staff including Warehouse Personnel in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring the Production Plan is adhered to and all customer orders are met, planned and delivered as specified by individual customers.The person will be a key figure in developing good working relationships with all operational employees, the role will maximise co-operation between planning, production and customer services.Type of Contract: Full TimeType of Position: SupervisorWhat will you do?Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmbrace all company values, policies, procedures and business ethics codes and demonstrate them within all daily activities.Work in a safe and controlled manner. Encourage a safe working environment.Work to consistently achieve quality standards and metrics for both product and service.Responsible and ensure that all machines are running in accordance of the production plan.Ensure that all machines are adequately labored to follow the production plan.Monitor machine efficiencies (target OEE 85%) and record accurately machine down time inclusive of reason.Support a culture of Continuous Improvement and CI Projects.Liaise with the Quality, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse & logistics, HR, Sales and Finance departments.Ensure accurate data is kept within the company’s ERP system.Conduct Employee Return To Work interviews (on day of return).Encourage good housekeeping.Conduct Performance Appraisal’s.Conduct employee disciplinary investigations and interviews to formal written warning level.Review and maintain the Training Matrix.Actively promote Employee Engagement activities.Additional ResponsibilitiesWorking with the site manager to reduce Operational costs Materials; Energy; Labour; Transport. (MELT)Relationships and Roles: Internal / External CooperationSets examples in areas of personal character, commitment, time management and organizational skills, and work habits in line with Company best practice.Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and those of our customers both internal and external.Commits to delivering company values, as stated previouslyMeasurable OutputsHealth & Safety to include site LTAs, safety conversations and cases logged,Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)Headcount and overtime metrics.Quality complaints and feedbackMachine Output and related KPIs, e.g. Cycle time, Run time, Downtime, Plan EfficienciesStock controlYour profileThe individual must have the right of residence and to work in the UK.
