POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Food Service Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing staff during shifts, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining food safety and customer service standards. This role involves hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and supporting the management team in running a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Open availability or mostly open.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
  • Must have valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Responsibilities
  1. Shift Supervision & Team Leadership
  • Supervise, guide, and support team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new employees and reinforce company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in scheduling and ensure proper shift coverage.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  1. Customer Service & Quality Control
  • Monitor customer service interactions to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain food presentation, taste, and quality according to company standards.
  1. Food Safety & Cleanliness
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct routine checks on food storage, temperature controls, and cleanliness of workstations.
  • Enforce hygiene and uniform standards for all team members.
  1. Inventory & Order Management
  • Assist in tracking stock levels and notifying management of supply needs.
  • Minimize food waste by following portion control guidelines.
  1. Administrative Support
  • Complete shift reports and assist with cash handling and POS system accuracy.
  • Communicate with management about operational needs and staff performance.
  • Assist in implementing promotions, menu updates, and store initiatives.
  • Proactive in monitoring labour costs, food costs, and limiting waste.
