Commissionaires BC is seeking dedicated and experienced Security Shift Supervisors to join our team at a Surrey detention centre location. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and performance of enhanced guards across various detention centre locations. Your leadership and experience will be crucial in ensuring the effective operation of security services, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and collaborating closely with client staff to meet operational goals. For clearance requirements, all successful applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Schedule: Full time 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts Pay rate: $33.24 /hr Deadline to apply: February 9th, 2026 by 4pm Job responsibilities: Assign and supervise enhanced guards at various posts and locations. Ensure timely completion and submission of incident reports, with analysis and recommendations. Conduct shift briefings, debriefings, and ensure guards are up-to-date on procedures and instructions. Oversee accurate completion of required forms, reports, and paperwork in accordance with site procedures. Coordinate and dispatch radio communications for fleet vehicles and ensure safety measures are followed. Provide training, performance feedback, and support to enhanced guards, addressing any deficiencies. Manage and report on emergency situations, performing quality control checks on tasks and resources. Monitor and coordinate guard breaks, meal times, and movements across various locations. Ensure equipment, including fleet vehicles, is properly maintained and report any issues as required. Collaborate with client staff and Operational Managers, reporting significant incidents and suggesting process improvements.
