We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join us at Great Bear Milton Keynes on a permanent and full time basis. Job Description Shift Pattern- 4on4off days 07:00-19:00 Salary- £35,547 plus £2000 shift supplement Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor: Assist the Shift Manager in delivering the warehouse operation, and supporting with responding to any operational issues within the warehouse. Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff. Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities. Take ownership for disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases within the shift. Support the delivery of communication briefings so that all colleagues have been briefed and informed. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness. Support individuals in meeting performance targets and respond to underperformance issues. Maintain records of team performance and individual performance against plans, and to advise the Shift Manager of factors that may disrupt operations which cannot be resolved by the team. Assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching Qualifications Previous experience of operating in various positions within a warehouse, including operating MHE and managing people. High level of attention to detail. Strong team player as well as able to work on their own initiative. In depth knowledge of operating warehouse systems. Good knowledge of health and safety. PC Literate to a minimum of intermediate level in MS Office. Good communication skills.
