Description
Full Time Role - Monday to Friday, 1.30pm-11.00pm Beat the Traffic with our South Auckland Location (Bombay) Join a growing Pet Food Company RPF is growing — and so is our Pack. With our Bombay factory currently under renovation (and with all the joys that come with a renovation site!) and our business continuing to scale, we’re looking for a hands-on Shift Supervisor (Evening Shift) to lead from the front and drive performance on the floor. This is not a desk job. This is a role for someone who is hands-on, leads by walking around, building capability in real time, and setting the pace for a high-performing team. Why join us? Since 1994, we have been Australia and New Zealand’s pioneers in fresher dog and cat nutrition. Our story is one of passion for a better way to care for pets, a belief in fresher nutrition, and an unwavering commitment to delivering this to pet parents and pets worldwide. We compete in every pet category and channel, creating favourite brands such as Jimbo's, Ivory Coat, Nature’s Gift, V.I.P. Petfoods, and Love ‘Em & Fussy Cat! You’ll take ownership of our Evening Shift, leading a small but mighty production team and ensuring the shift delivers on safety, quality, and output — every day. You will: Lead from the floor — coaching, supporting and lifting team performance in real time Build capability through hands-on mentoring and development of team members Partner closely with AM and Night Shift teams to hit daily production targets Work with Supply Chain to ensure materials are ready when needed Collaborate with Quality and HSE to continuously lift standards and team knowledge Ensure Safety and Quality are paramount What you bring Proven experience leading teams in FMCG manufacturing (meat/food highly regarded) A practical, sleeves-rolled-up leadership style — you’re visible, engaged and proactive and you are experienced working closely with not only your immediate team but also stakeholders such as Maintenance, Engineering, QA, Safety and Supply Chain. Proven problem-solving ability with a results-focused mindset - if there is a problem you already have some options ready to go when trying to provide solutions Confidence communicating across teams and escalating when needed Solid working knowledge of Excel and Word Why RPF? We’re a team that backs each other and gets things done. We believe in REAL partnerships, REAL ambition and REAL accountability. What you’ll get: Genuine career growth in a scaling business Access to digital learning (Litmos, LinkedIn Learning) Paw-ental leave for your furry family members “Me Day” to celebrate your service milestones Discounts via our Unleashed portal Access to internal Vet Nurses for pet support If you’re the kind of leader who prefers the factory floor over the office chair — and you want to be part of a business that’s going places — we’d love to hear from you. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. What’s next? If you're ready to unleash your potential and make a real difference in the booming pet industry, then we want to hear from you! Next steps will include: An initial telephone interview followed by 2 face to face interviews and site visit 2 work references A Pre-Employment Medical We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Diversity’s not a buzzword here, it’s in our DNA. Diverse perspectives shape our culture and make our work better. That’s why we’re committed to building inclusive teams that represent a variety of backgrounds and skills. If you need any reasonable adjustments, accessibility assistance or would like to note which pronouns you use at any stage of our hiring process, just contact us at accommodations: people&culture@realpetfoodco.com.au.
